Subscribe to newsletter by sending an email to studio@swizzle.ca with "subscribe to newsletter" in the subject line. Contents: 1. Swizzle Studio on hiatus --------------------------------------------------- 1. Swizzle Studio on hiatus Christine and I will be shutting up Swizzle operations for most of 2009 and travelling the world. Spain, U.K., Itay, Latvia, Turkey, China, and some places we haven't thought of yet. If you find yourself jonesing for an R! fix, there are a couple of galleries carrying my work. Ottawa's Artguise (http://www.artguise.ca) has a dozen drawings left from the recent Primer show, plus a 36"x36" piece, Untitled (Woman&Lemur). --------------------------------------------------- A lot of people have been asking if we're going to keep a record of our trip. Yes we are, full of drawings, photos and cheeky observations. Here's the link: --------------------------------------------------- 3. Monkey Mondays now at Swizzle website Christine I have completed an easy-to-use thumbnail archive of the entire Monkey Mondays project. There sure are a lot of drawings, says the man who built over 300 web pages to make this archive workable. Give it a look, find your favourites, and fall in love all over again. -------------------------------------------------- 4. Primer catalogues available A catalogue of the Primer exhibition is now available in both soft and hardcover editions from blurb.com. Size: 7"x7" Preview and order information here: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/512397 -------------------------------------------------- 5. Pay-Less Liquors commission I just finished a commission for a Liquor Store in Alamo, Texas. Four large booze-themed paintings will be hung in the renovated Pay-Less Liquor store in the coming months. Owner Eric and I have been talking about doing merchandise to go with the paintings. Who wouldn't want "Tripsy, The Clumsy Bottle" on their t-shirt? -------------------------------------------------- Past newsletters archive: You can find it at http://www.swizzle.ca/pages/swizzle-news-pastissues.html |
